Being Filled with the Grace of God

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience - among whom we all once lived in the passions of the flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind,” (Ephesians 2:1-3).

What is the biggest issue in the world?

When you ask this question, you may receive several different answers. Some of those answers may be poverty, hate, racism, gender inequality, etc. But are these really THE problem?

“You were dead.” Paul wastes no time; he stuns his readers. What do you mean I was dead? How can I be alive if I were once dead?

Paul explains to his readers the condition of their lives during their past. “Dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world…”

Hopelessness… absolute hopelessness.

Our lives apart from Christ… hopeless… dead.

But… “God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved,” (Ephesians 2:4-5).

Have you received the great gift of God’s grace. If not, what is holding you back?

If you have received the great gift of God’s grace, be encouraged this week that you are no longer dead in your trespasses but alive with Christ.

Be Filled in the Grace of God This Week!
