What “IT’S” All About
I once saw a bumper sticker that read, “This Is What It’s All About.” It didn’t explain what “IT” was. Often, when people emphasize a word like that, it tends to have a generic, catch-all application. It’s similar to when someone says, “They say you shouldn’t do this or that.” Who exactly are “THEY”? No one seems to know— it’s just a way to make a simple point.
But sometimes, the word “IT” carries profound significance for an individual. For example, “IT” might represent the meaning of life—a question truly worth our consideration. Think about it: in one respect, “IT’S” all about you. That’s right, friends, you are special to God. He values and desires you. Does that amaze you? If so, you’re not alone. David once asked, “What is man that You are mindful of him...?” (Ps. 8:4).
When one reflects on the vastness of the universe and its wonders, humanity may seem insignificant—but not to God. You see, “IT’S” all about GOD’S love for you (Rom. 5:6-8). Consequently, “IT’S” all about GOD’S plan to save you (Jer. 31:31-34). “IT’S” all about GOD’S desire to have a spiritually intimate relationship with you (2 Cor. 6:14 – 7:1). Also, “IT’S” all about a home with GOD in heaven (2 Pet. 3:13). And ultimately, “IT’S” all about your obedience to GOD, so that His desires for you may be fulfilled (Eccl. 12:13; cf. Heb. 5:9).
So, if you want to know what the meaning of life really is, friends, that’s what “IT’S” all about.
